ABOUT LABRADOR RETRIEVERS
The LABRADOR or LABRADOR RETRIEVER is a British-bred retriever dog that was used as a hunting or “gun” dog. They retrieved hunted game, especially ducks from the water.
The Labrador’s rugged appearance, even temperament, gentle personality and reliability as a working dog make them the top choice for family and service dogs.
Labradors differ from Retrievers and although both are retriever dogs, they are different dog breeds. The Labrador is divided into two types namely English Labradors and American Labradors.
